Practical Finite Element Analysis at Pune - Training & Internship

Course Description:
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a powerful numerical technique which is capable of solving large complex industrial problems. FEA has been widely used across industries for faster and improved product design and development.

For someone embarking on FEA, or companies adopting FEA techniques for designs of new products, there is a steep learning curve to overcome. Moreover, there are complexities in terms of element types, solution types, meshing methods and pre-post processing options that have to be learned. This is before engineers get down to the engineering physics behind the problem. Due to various complexities, practical guidance is required on how to use FEA technique effectively to solve the real world problems. Therefore, this 4-day example driven course teaches practical approach to solve industrial problems using FEA.

The concepts of the course are explained using hands-on approach and real world examples by highly experienced tutor. The strength and weaknesses of various FEA techniques are discussed and practical considerations of loadings, boundary conditions are explained via simple examples. The assessment and interpretation of FEA results are important for safe and reliable product performance. Additionally, the validation techniques are discussed for building confidence in the FEA results. Moreover, report writing is also addressed as a class workshop. The course offers excellent guidance to carry out a Finite Element Analysis by an industrial expert  Dr. Dattatraya Parle. A clear understanding of the objectives of each analysis and a road map for achieving is presented. Towards end project ideas project are discussed in the class to benefit all.
